Mae Engelgeer
Dutch designer, she graduated in textile design from the Amsterdam Fashion Institute and then was admitted to the prestigious Master’s in Applied Arts at the Sandberg Institute, where she developed her first collection. In 2013, she opened her studio in Amsterdam, specializing in product design and development, installations, and international collaborations. Minimalistic without losing a playful touch, her works are characterized by a distinctive use of color, geometric shapes, and linear elements.

SPIRAL
Inspired by an elegant game of ribbons, it reinterprets and renews the curved shape of a spiral staircase, transformed into an imposing geometry and softened by its colours.

VAULT
Seen from the top, simplified in its essential lines, completed with grainy dots and soft shades of colour, a majestic staircase changes into an explosion of rounded, celestial shapes that nearly mould the wall.
