Josè Mendoza

José A. Mendoza (Murcia, 1984) is a Spanish designer based in London. After earning his degree in Product Design from EASD Valencia – Higher School of Art and Design (2009) and studying at the University of Lapland, he co-founded the design collective Proyecto Revival, working with companies like La Mediterránea, as well as for the independent cultural project Producto. All the work created by the collective was later selected for the publication Cutting-Edge Spanish Craft by design journalist and curator Tachy Mora. In 2011, he moved to London, where he spent the following years developing projects at the Doshi Levien design studio for leading industry brands, such as B&B Italia, Kvadrat, Nanimarquina, HAY, BD Barcelona, Carmper, Moroso, and Galerie Kreo. In 2015, he launched his own design studio, where he develops his design language and works on multidisciplinary projects for companies in the UK, Italy, and Spain.

VERNE

This design is inspired by the classical 1863 novel from Jules Verne: ‘Five Weeks in a Balloon.’ It features four semi-transparent balloons, casually flying through majestic clouds, creating the magic of a surreal landscape.
